1. Where are your snow globes made? All of our products are made at our facility in Bakersfield, CA.
2. How much does one of your snow globes weigh?
That depends on what size you order. A 10-foot stand-alone unit will
weigh 300 pounds while a 12-foot walk-in version will weigh in at 700
or more pounds.
3. What kind of material is the clear dome made of?
The clear dome is 35 mil vinyl with a UV inhibitor coating. To give you
an idea of the thickness a standard hefty garbage sack is 1.5-2 mil in
thickness.
4. What happens if a hole develops in the vinyl? The thickness of the vinyl will not allow for accidental holes and can only develop holes through intentional misuse or maliciousness. Your snow globe will come with a clear vinyl patch kit that can be applied in a matter of minutes.
5. How do I clean the snow globe? Windex or any type of glass clean will allow you to clean the outside of the snow globe. The inside should be cleaned using water or a low ammonia cleaner as there will be someone inside the enclosed area with the cleaner.
6. I want to put a performer inside the snow globe, how do I keep the unit from fogging up? The pressure of the blower is sufficient to allow you to unzip it slightly to increase circulation and avoid the fogging effect. If you still get some condensation inside the unit then any type of scuba mask defogger applied on the inside in addition to a slight unzipping will help.
7. The zipper seems to be sticking, what can I do? A little bit of diving zipper wax will eliminate that problem.
8. I want to move my unit around, how portable is it? The stand-alone units can be put on rollers to allow them to be moved around but the walk-in versions are not portable.
9. How loud are your snow globes? The blower is hidden under the floor boards so it will sound like a muffled vacuum cleaner.
10. Do you sell internationally? We will sell anywhere in the world.
11. What is the cost to ship my snow globe? All of our pricing is FOB (Freight out Bound) Bakersfield, CA. The shipping is paid for by the customer and the cost will vary depending on your location. Contact us for a free shipping quote.
12. How long will it take to set up the snow globe? The first time you set up the snow globe will take around 3 hours for a stand-alone unit while a walk-in unit will take 4 people 7-8 hours to fully assemble the first time.
13. Can you come set up the snow globe for us? We can send a technician to set your snow globe up. The cost depends on where you are located but our typical rate is airfare and hotel plus $600.00 a day.
14. Do you rent units? We mostly sell units but do have a limited number available for rental. The pricing depends on many factors such as lead time, your location, the style you want, and the number of units. Please contact us for exact pricing.
15. I want a specialized snow globe different than what I see on your website, can you make it and what will it cost? We can make anything you want. 16. Can I use my unit outdoors or is it strictly for indoor use? You can use our units indoors or out, the blower set up from the ground so normal rain water should not touch it.
17. What is the floor and/or base made of? To reduce shipping cost the floor and base are made of precise laser-cut wood that fit together like a honeycomb so the unit is lightweight yet incredibly strong.
18. Have you ever worked with any big-name clients? We have made snow globes for the New York Hall of Science, the National Zoo in Washington DC, the Lincoln Park Zoo, and Ocean Park in Hong Kong.
